Addis = አዲስ = new
Ababa = አበባ = flower
All this was spurred by Fred Flare asking What's Your Fave Flower?. I wanted to answer that it was me, but, alas, "Addis" does not mean flower.

Hi, so I realize this post has been here a while. My first name is Addis, and I have had the hardest time verifying which was which! Thanks!! The online translator you linked to still works just great, unlike what I was finding after a few searches.
